Engine mounts

Are the side engine mounts the same as the big block engines? My drivers side mount looks knackered, the engine has moved forwards until it's almost touching the mounting metalwork. I'd like to use something a bit stronger. I have some polyurethane inserts but the mounts on my car are solid, so I'm assuming that they are for a big block engine. Are the mounts on the gearbox end the same or different? On EKTA, some have sizes but not the small engine codes.

If I remember rightly, the drivers side rubber mounting bush is the same size as the larger engines but the gearbox side bush is smaller.

Try and shimmy the engine back in to place so that the mount sits in the middle of the chassis leg mount, as it could cause unwanted vibrations/stress?

That's an interesting comment. I have a pair of mounts which came in a bag with the poly inserts and rear mount. I assumed the large bush was for the engine and the smaller one was for the gearbox. I'm fitting a 5 speed Polo GT box so I need to make a gearbox mount anyway. I didn't know whether to start with a big block mount or the one I already have.
