driver altanater

hi i own a mk1 golf 1.3 and the altanater has gone bust. my brother has a mk2 gti 8v alternator lying around will it fit please help. lol

You can make it fit. The big block alternators are the other way up, so you are mounting it upside down. You need a bar to mount the adjuster underneath the alternator and you will probably have to change the wiring as it may be a stud on the back rather than the 3 pin plug.
