Doing Timing belt soon, tensioners?

Hi

I'm gonna do the cam belt on the Jetta asap, with the help from a mate who's a mechanic luckily.

Just went to order the part from euro car parts and they dont do a kit, just the belt. Gsf are the same… Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Sam

I would imagine you will find that a 1.3 golf of the similar age is exactly the same belt.

Saying that, just done a search and euro car parts dont list 1 for a golf either ! ! !

Tension is adjustable via water pump, worth changing at the same time.

Nah ya cool man ya not completely loopy, lol.

By the looks of it its Euro car parts website having a twitch up. I just did a couple of searches and the website reckons they dont stock a timing belt kit for a 1980 golf gti :@ even tho i brought 1 off them on wednesday ! ! !
