Can it be adapted for my 1300 driver?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4630485002&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

The seller says so in his responses - but is he right?

I heard the 32/34 dmtl comes in many guises. Landrover, Suzuki and Ford all used these carbs' but do they come in lots of variations ? :dontknow:

I'm sure it will fit on the manifold and can be jetted to suit. I used a 3litre Capri carb on my 1300 mk1 Escort.

Hi :D
Weber do kits to fit the 34ICH carb to different engines.
I used full carb Kit No 15290992 to replace the Solex 31 PIC-6/7 on my '83 1.3 CL GF engine.
Webcon can supply adapter plates, gaskets, parts etc.
PM me ifyou want a copy of the fitting instructions.
Cheers
Graham

The 34ich is the single choke version, I'm after a 32\34 dmtl twin choke. If anyone has one for grabs please get in touch-I've also put a request in the wanted section but they seem to be very rare.

Oops
Weber 32/34 DMTL kit for 1.6 golf mk2 manual is 22670916 replacing pierburg 2E2.
I don't know what fitting differences there are between your 1.3 Driver (mk1?), My Daughters 1.6 mk2 Driver and any other vehicle using the 32/34 DMTL. From what I understand the carbs would be set up for different engines and adapter plates and other fittings would change.
Sorry I got confused, not unusual at my age :? I've only changed 2 carbs to the Webers specified. I've never adapted one to fit :dontknow:
Give Webcon a call, they are very helpful :D
Cheers Graham

Fitting wise I'm hoping that they wouldn't be dissimilar (mine IS a mk1). Anyway the carb I was watching raised over ?120! I've got a weber compatible manifold so just hoping I come across a dmtl some time soon. Cheers for the advice though. It's given some food for thought :y:
