anti roll bars

im putting some new suspension on my 83 golf driver and am wondering whether standard gti anti roll bars will fit without too much trouble.has anybody done this?cheers

Mine rattles on the exhaust, but I've got a hybrid of a Polo downpipe and GTi system with a bodge of 2" pipe going across the gap. A standard system should be OK. Definitely worth doing though.

thanks for the reply,i recon its got worth doing too.other than the exhaust is it just a case of fitting it up to the car,ie are all the mountings in the right place?  cheers

I fitted a GTi rear beam and bottom arms as the standard parts didn't have the mounting holes. I also polybushed the arms and beam before I put them on.

Yo will probably have to drill the anti roll bar mount holes on the lower wish bones - straight forward job and the bar wil bolt up.

I have all the parts if you need them
