1978 MK1 Golf 1.1 Water Temperature Sender

Hi all,

Does anyone have any idea where I can get a new water temperature sender for my 1978 1.1 Golf?

i got 1 from gsf a couple of years back, it was about a fiver, i guess they stil do them! failing that your local car accessory shop might help or even halfrauds

Pretty much any car parts shop will be able to get you one try gsf or part co as they are normally most helpful.

Normally even if the part is discontinued for the specific car you have there normally is one from another make of car that is the same and will work as it is a pretty standard fitting, the only thing that will vary will be the min/max operating pressures/temps at which the switches/senders will operate.

The bit where the wire connects onto the sender may look different on a "pattern" part but it will operate the same.

…I didn't realise that were at gsf. Euro Car Parts (cr*p) didn't have them. In fact, they never have anything I go in for…..
