1300 points gap?
I've just cleaned and rebuilt the bosch distributor on my mk1 1300 but the manual just says check that the gap is as specified, i can't see any figures for what the gap should be.
Anyone know what it is?

Yep, 0.4, but remember that the gap has to be measured/fixed when the screw in points cover (if yours, like my son's doesn't have a dust cap) is in place as the cam spindle moves enough to open/close the gap if you measure while the points are exposed… its fiddly, so is best to take the dizzy out completely when setting the points gap.

It may be easier just to get someone out to set up your timing/tuning etc as I thought mine was right and had someone come and check it out for me.
Turned out the timing was a tooth out and the dwell angle of the points was incorrect (even though they were gapped correctly) but the car still ran and seemed ok, but now the mobile tuning guy has sorted it out it's even better.
Best ?40 spent on my mk1 so far !!
