1.3 limp mode / stuttering upto 30mph.. help!
ok so been driving most of the night without any problems.
picked up friends from the next town and stop for petrol at the shell garage.. put £20 of normal unleaded then travel 20 miles.
Stop for 2-3 minutes then drive home… the problem starts.
From 1-2-3-4 gears I can only get upto 2000rpm and car limps/stutters like mad!
I put foot straight to floor and it just muffles and doesnt want to accelerate.. what could this be?

checked the leads and plugs and they are fine, had the dizzy cap off and cleaned it.. still looks pretty new.
There was something that was very loose.. the oil regulator pump, part thats bolted on to the engine block.
It starts now but dies after few seconds now :/

not sure were this pump is can you put a pic up. are you sure its for oil and not the petrol pump on the engine.
if it is oil could be that causing low oil pressure

Ive had a look in the tank and its perfect (no rust) Filler hose is perfect aswell (pretty new), there is no Air Leaks as ive checked.
Ive cleaned the rotor arm and points, looked at the spark plugs and leads. The fuel filter looks ok but going to replace, something that wasn't ok.. The fuel pump.. one of the bolts was actually loose!
Is there anyway to clean out the fuel pump??
The car is getting spark and starting for a few seconds then it cuts out because lack of fuel getting to the carb.
Ideas anyone??
