1.3 driver with webber carb and k&n few issues
1st thing is the warm air pipe isnt there as it has a k&n but i get constant smoke comming out of the manifold connection, could this just be trapped oil?
also is it normal for the choke to be on when the lever is in and off when its out? lol
lastly it idles quite high but the throttle stop is all the way out, is there another idle adjuster?
thanks

forgot to mention i have a leaking front section of the exhuast, would this cause a the high idle
Its likely to be a mixture of things dude. Usually air leaks though. Try pushing the carb back and forward while it's running and see if the idle speed changes. Otherwise possibly ignition timing, or the idle mixture screw. If I remember rightly there is no idle speed adjustment screw on a weber.
The choke should be the opposite way round. On when pulled out, and off when pushed in. Someone may have routed it wrongly so it operates the opposite way…
Do you mean you have smoke coming from the exhaust ports on the inlet manifold, or straight from the exhaust manifold?

il have a play with the choke next time, i basicly bought the car as a non runner but have managed to get it running.
looks like a filler neck job though

p.s. if you want a stainless filler neck I know a guy who makes them

sorted the choke, just needed some fettling.
the high idle was the mixture, it was deffinately running rich i turned it in and the idle has settled, deffinately needs setting up on a co machine though.
couldnt source an exhaust middle box so i busted out the welder and repaired it lol
these cars are soo easy to work on i love them!
