Hi, what condition is the fuel filler neck bro? If it is rotten it could be rust in the petrol tank wich in turn feeds to the carb. I had the same problem a while back, would idle all day long but would cut out when attempting to drive. Look at your inline filter under bonnet and see if there is a lot of crap in it.

I had this with my 1.1 when I first got it ,ran fine until I needed to get away quick or pull a long hill. Some botcher had fibre glassed the rotton filer neck, result the bits of fibreglass and rust floating in the tank sucked up to the pick up pipe :banghead:  causeing the problem.I took the sender unit out under the back seat when the tank was nearly empty and fished the bits out.Obviouslly replacing the filer neck with a new one aswell.
