1.1 to mk2 1300

right im just helping stick this engine in with my mate The car was originaly a 1litre and hes putting in a 1.3 for a mk2 golf(3 bolt rocker cover one.) and using the existing loom etc.

just wondering what we need to do for the ignition old engine was points etc new one is electronic ignition. Is it just a case of gettin a coil and amp from another mk3 golf and wiring it in or possible use one from a mk3 polo.

mechanical side is easy just not 100% on the wiring.

Have a search on Clubpolo as I'm sure the same question as been asked in relation to using twin 40's. I think it's a part from a late mk2 Polo that you need.
