1.1 idle problems

I have the 1.1 engine and have been having problems with setting the idle speed. I have got it running to an ok idle speed but the revs keep fluctuating up and down. Any ideas wold be gratefully received!!!

check the fuel pump, the diaphram in mine had a little hole in it, which caused all sorts of stupid sh*t….made SO much difference when i changed it out.

Also, are you running a fuel filter ?

Thanks for the reply. I will check the fuel pump at the weekend, I am running a filter too. Should that make a difference? I just can't understand it as it runs fine apart from the idle!

Have you checked the carb mount on the manifold, mine had perished and caused similar kind of problems.
