1.1 Head Gasket

Hello all I thoght we were nearly ready for the road agian last night, my lad brought the tax for his car we got the ashley exhaust fitted got the car started and more problems, to start i'd left the filler cap off the rad to get the anti freeze mix level right and this started to bubble up which made me think opps head gasket, then from the o/s front of the engine between the head and the block started to appear a line of oil, so I think it's head off time, has anybody seen this before and is it just normally the gasket or does the head need skimming aswell.
