1.1 and 1.3 Gearboxes ????

Are these the same ratios for the Mk1 Golf ?

I'm struggling to find a 5 speed box that dosent involve silly money or a 4 hour+ drive !!

Is the 1.3 box any longer than the 1.1 - the silly revs at 70mph are getting to me now !

Where are you? The 5 speed you want is the standard one on most mk3 Polo's. The best 4 speed for low rpm crusing is the Formel E box.

Think the 1.3 had a slightly higher 4th or final drive but not much. As said Formel-E or Polo 5 speed would give best results

?180 for a polo 5 speed from the local and the others dont seem to bother with polo's  :dontknow:

If you pay more than ?40 for the Polo 8P you're being ripped off. Have a search on Clubpolo, there must be someone near you with a spare.

i have a polo 5 speed gear box its and got it free when i went to a meeting he had it sitting in his garage which was awsome but i need the mount and also need to get it welded
