Run to the Sun 09

Just wanted to say that 6 of us went down for the weekend and I spotted 4 or 5 lovely mk1's en route, at the show and on the way back, plus plenty of caddy's, cabbies and of course the air cooled crew.

My gti drove like a dream and even handled 4 passengers with luggage and the notorious traffic jams on the way back. The weather was awesome and we got in the sea for ages on Saturday afternoon!

Highly recommend it and wonder why more of the mk1's don't fancy it?

I will get some on in a bit, actually forgot our camera on the day of the show and shine but friends have got loads. Will sort it out this week.

I agree mate, I had an excellent weekend.  Some real nice cars going round and couldn't have asked for better weather.

i was away visiting family and missed it all, saw a couple of nice caddys and mk1's on thursday evening. anyone got any pictures?

I drove past the convoy on the M4 (I was heading East) and it was awesome. Loads of cool stuff driving past 8)

Tried to keep my eyes on my side of the road but it was hard work!

We did run to the sun in 2008 but we choose Modified Nationals instead this year.
I shall be back to run to the sun in 2010 as it was way more fun.

to be honest, no one goes run to the sun anymore thats why.
we all go here to Plymouth Volksfest instead.
