I bobbed over to Weston Park this morning (only about a 10 minute drive so rude not to) to have a look at the Midlands Festival of Transport. I was rather disappointed with the lack of VWs there this year. I only went once before, but the Mk1 Golf Owners Club had a stand that time and I proudly took my place in a line up of about 12 others. Today there wasn't a single Mk1 in the event, though I did espy two in the car park. There were only 3 beetles (and two of them were sheds) a few campers and a solitary Mk2 Golf. It is a two-day event, though, so I can't say if yesterday was the same story or not.

But next year, I think we should get a little gang together and put ourselves out there a little!
