wont select reverse

hi, my 1.3 4speed will not select reverse. any ideas??  :dontknow:

Check the linkage is not broken/loose/worn

Is the 1-4 selection feel loose?

When in gear can you move the stick around alot?

1 to 4 work fine but reverse wont select. its all tight, i had to take the selector off when i changed the box and iv been trying to set it up but it just wont get reverse. when in gear it there isnt much play in the linkage.

Ahh - In that case it's should just be adjustement.  Take the selector of the spline that come from the gearstick.  Put the box in neutral and position the gearstick in neutral between 3rd and 4th.  Then slide the arm back on the shaft.  You may still need to adjust a spline or two.
