which is better 4 2 1 or 4 1

hiya all im thinking of buying a after market manifold but theres two options
4 2 1 or 4 1 which should i go for as im looking for max performance thanks

if its just power then 4-1.
4-2-1 are meant to be best as they give a better torque curve.
i just bought a 4-2-1 as i dont want the 4-1 any more
