which gearbox?

im in the processs of gathering parts for a 1.8 16v conversion on my mk1. i was just wondering what gearboxes i could go 4.
would a 1.6 gti gearbox fit the kr engine?

Yes it does, use the 210mm 8V clutch (the input shaft size is 22mm).
