wheels question

right,

 my mates telling me that "PROPER" genuine g60 steels are basically the same style as the 14" mk2 gti steels but just in 15", where as i only seem to remember the g60 steels having a slightly teardropped shaped holes in them..

could some one pleas correct me if im wrong but i cant remeber the original g60's being like a 15" version of the mk2 gti steels.

I was under the impression that the G60 steels were 16"!

So they could fit bigger brakes in them!?

15's i thought for the same reason fit over the bigger brakes

seems to me there just an inch bigger as i recall the 14's being same in terms off look

Best resource in the world, google vagcat and register, hunt through and you will find all of the stock wheels and sizes etc

your mate is correct. the 'g60 steels' you see now are actually Passat winter steels. they have a 357 xxx xxx part number, which = Passat.

this is what the real g60 steels look like:

^^^ lol, my mate bought those actual wheels off ebay and they look good widened and on his mk1 jetta. the snow tyres have been on my caddy 8)
