Wheel spacing?

Hi guys.

Looking to put some new wheels on the Mk1. Found a pair of 15" but they are 7" wide will this be a problem? The offset is 38. Will they fit or scrub and stick out?

that shouldnt be a problem for everyday driving… although jump into a decent pothole and you'll probably scrub the wheel, but if you put slightly stretched tyres on, then the profile will make them sit under the arches better

I've got that set-up on my Cabby with a 30mm drop and I don't have any problems.
