wheel resto advice

ok guys got 3 weeks till gti festival and i need to reburb my brock b2s

want to polish the rims deep dish and paint the spokes black

whats needed oh and i dont have a blaster  :lol:

If they have clear coat on you need some paint remover.
A lot of sandpaper, from 60 grit to 1200 grit, if you dont have a lot of pits in the aluminum you could start with a higher grit.
Some polishing wax and polishing wheel to mount on your drill.

After a lot of hours, it will look something like this:

I don't remember, but I think I did them in two weeks.
An hour or two in the week days, took the weekend off ;)
The sanding is pretty boring, but when you get to the polishing bit and you see the result it's all worth it….

I did most of the sanding by hand, but where it was deep pittings in the aluminum I used an air tool with a sanding wheel on.
Like the one at the right in the picture.
