wheel/hub nut and bearings problem

Hi!
I replaced my front wheel bearings
on my mk1 '81. When i thightened the
nut, which is on the end of the CV joint
i can't spin the wheel. I took the jack off,
drove few meters and jack the car once
more and the wheel  is spinning without
problem. Is that normal? I know structure
of this kind of bearings but i don't think
it should be this way.
Any suggestions?
BTW, i'm new member, so i wrote some
greetings on proper section of this forum :)

you've overtightened them, if you've driven the car and they're now loose you might have reduced their life a bit, but should be ok

I used dynamometric tool. It is impossible,
that i overtightened them. Only if in golf mk1
this nut is thigtened by another moment than
in golf mk2. I used service manual for golf mk2,
because i don't have it for mk1.

I've changed the cv joint, too. But i measured
it and it seems to be ok. I compared it to my old
cv joint and data in the mk2 book. I know, that mk2
has slightly different outer diameter of cv joints.
But my new cv joint has good outer diameter.
I cannot see any destruction on inner surface of
hub which may comes from cv joint. I'm driving
my mk1 now, and i can't see any problems, but
i want to know that this problem doesn't cause
bearing failure or something like this.
Now, when i jack up my car - the wheel is spinning
without any problems.
