What coilovers on a 1.8T Mk1??
Just wondering which of you with 1.8T Mk1's are running coilovers (i would think alot lol)
If so which ones would you recommend? i'm looking to get 350bhp out of mine and i was thinking about kw variant 3's but i'm pretty skint at the mo with building it so am thinking about some cheaper ones just for the time being.
what do you think?

As they are the daddies of terra-firma hugging antics. But if your budget is tight… ebay "hot-tuning" 200 quid specials???
Stay out of the black…
And into the red….
You get nothing in this game for 2 in a bed!

So, really all you can do is judge on qualitative terms.
IMHO they are all pretty similar initially, obviously the more adjustment possible (damping) the more closely you can optimise it to your particular application. The difference is in how long they last.

Eibachs
Weitech
FK's
TA technics (hot tuning, race land etc)
The eibachs were the best by far tho at ?800 there a bit pricy!!!
Weitechs were also very very good, and for the money offer excellent value
FK's, cant see why they are so rated??
Cant comment on the ta's yet

i might look at prices for these as i really wanted kw v3's but are wayyy too expensive so i eiher get some cheaper ones or stay on standard suspension until i've saved up for some v3's
decisions lol

In all the years of selling these, KWs, H&Rs, VMAXX etc etc I have never had any issues with the Weitecs.
Weitecs are good value for money and are good quality too.

also i think my old chassis dynamics springs were a far bit better ride than the coilovers the car used to handle very well its just not as good now as it takes time to get the adjustment right
