Were BBS RA's ever fitted to the GTI Cabby as standard???

Hi,

My 1991 GTI cabby seems to be pretty stadard, but I've always wondered if the the BBS RAs (that were on it when I bought it) are an original fitment? They have a vw logo cast in to them and I have seen many mk2 cars with them, but most GTI Cabbys from the same era as mine seem to have the spoked scala type wheels fitted.

Can anybody tell me if BBS RAs were an original option when the car was new of are they always an aftermarket fitment?

hi mate i think that 14" BBS RA's were available for the mk1 and 15" for the mk2

Nice One, thanks for that. Mine are indeed 14" so think they will be original which is good news.  Feel a lot happier about forking out to get them refurbed now!
