vauxhall brake upgrade

do the 280mm vauxhall brakes fit straight on with shoulder bolts or do they need a adapter plate,like the ones on the caddy forum?

Mine went straight on with shoulder bolts

Where did you get the shoulder bolts?

I got them from a guy on here, can't remember his name though!

Just out of interest, what calipers did you use for the conversion?

I think they were vectra gsi ones I know the discs are meant to be 288mm for them

Ahh, do your pads hang over the edge of the disc?

not sure actually, I'll get a pic later so you can see set up

Very straightforward swap. Use the 256mm calipers from a 16V Vectra and disks for a G60 golf. Just remember you need the vectra flexi hose before you cut through them!

I ended up using the vectra GSI carriers with Zafira calipers, as the vectra pads seemed way too big for the G60 discs I had fitted.

The Zafira pads still hang over the disc a little. Going to see how it is when I get it back on the road, and then maybe 'modify' the front pads a bit!

iknow im using 280mm G60 discs and  what I can remember there wasn't much hangover, the calipers and carriers were one unit though that bolted straight on
