vauxhall brake guide difference

just bought all the gear needed for th VX set up but i am really struggling to find the male-male adaptor listed in one of the 2 guides in the  locked thread.

i spent most of the day driving around the city trying, in vain, to find one.

BUT……….

the helpful guy at the VW dealers called up the image on the computer and said that my car should have a male end on the solid pipe, and reading the other thread on the conversion it also says the VX flexi bolts straight to the VW solid pipe negating the need for this illusive adaptor.

i'm not with the car so can't check but want to do the conversion on sun so does anyone know if i need these adaptors or not?
