Tyre Pressure and Best oil

Hi Lads. My Campaign owner and need to know the correct psi for my front and rear tyres? Any ideas?
Alao need to find out the correct oil for my engine?

if the engines in good fettle then i would put VW`s own Quantum 10w 40 semi synthetic in it, if its a bit worn use the blue multigrade one a sits a bit thicker :wink:

as for tyre pressure the industry standard is around 35 psi!! depends what rims/tyres etc, i normally run 32- 35 psi all round on my cars….

35 maybe for a cabby which is fat and heavy for a tin top 29-32 upfront 29 rear unless loaded up then 34. a few extra psi wont hurt it and can make the steering a bit lighter if your new to non power assisted steering.

as for oil 10-40w castrol has never done me any harm. but TOTR is right about semi synthetic or multigrade. don't bother with any oil additives as they dont work.

oh yer foget to mention tyre pressures a on a sticker inside the drivers door on the post if your car hasn't been resprayed and had it removed.

what tyre pressures should I run? the sticker says 26/26 half load but this is a replacement from volkswagenstickers.co.uk

does this sound right for a campaign model?

having spent time playing i now run 26 all round. add a few psi for loaded up.

a thread that has been dragged kicking and screaming from the past it seems.

How do tyre pressures go out of date???
