Track - tie rod doing my head in
Been a while since I posted anything but the Cabby has been in a garage as I've been away for a while. I've got it back on the road but noticed both ball joints in the tie rod end where split.
Drivers side was a doddle but the passenger side had the original one piece rod/end. I bought the replacement bits removed the rubber bellows but can't for the life of me get enough grip to remove the rod from the steering rack.
What's the trick? I was told I could do it with an adjustable spanner without taking the rack out? Does anyone know how. I've tried it with the steering column in various positions and Tried access through engine bay, under car, different angles. Managed to undo the rod slightly but now the bit you lock onto to undo it is in the vertical position and I can't figure out how to get anything in there to turn it.
Car has been lowered 1inch and got rock solid racing suspension, would that affect my maneuverability?
It's starting to drive me mad.. Any ideas welcome..

Hardest bit was getting the bellow over new tie rod. Mini spoon method worked a treat (like you do with bike innertube).
