tightned the wheel bearing up to far...

tightned it up to far and on the way to gti spring festival it munched the stub axle to pieces.
I took the stub axle bolt off with a huge breaker bar and it just munched it to pieces because the nut welded itself onto the axel.
what do I do no?
what do I need to replace?
can I fit a mk2 rear beam?
any help appreciated!

it happened to me once, so i took the wheel off, and attacked the end of the axle with a grinder to get it all out.

needed a new stub, bearing and drum.

mk2 beam won't fit

where can I get the stub and the drum from?

how do I change the stub though?

one question is, is the stub axle just bolted on?

yes mate, 4 bolts if i remember rightly

spray the f4 the bolts and let soak for a bit as they have probaly been there since year dot
