Thrust Bearing!

HI i`ve got a mk1 cabriolet clipper 1.8 8v 1991 and i`ve had the motor out for a while and split the gearbox from the motor but i cant remember if there is a thrust bearing that i have lost!! or if someone could explain how this clutch works would be a great help! cheers

thrust/release bearing is behind the green cap on the end of the gearbox, so unless you took that off you havent lost it
