the search for 15" castellets - light, tunnel, end ???

In my never ending search for a set of 15" le castellets I have now seen some light at the end of the tunnel.

I searched the german ebay and still couldnt find any.

then I sruck gold - it seems like the rivage wasnt called a rivage in germany - it was called a classic-line.

searched on that and it came up with about 7 cars (all green by the way) and about the same number of sets of wheels

the only difference i can see is that they come with black VW centre caps as opposed to the silver ones on the rivage alloys

they seem to go quite cheap as well - compared to uk prices - about ?250 - ?300 for a set of 4.

E-mailed them all to see if any will post to uk - fingers crossed

Chris

Check they have sellers protection, a little shield graphic that means you are guaranteed your goods or your money back. Also check they take pay pal, makes it loads easier.

Tell them to use DPD to ship them - they will collect.

Do a web german translation - that effort goes a long way

If you are happy to trust the seller (good reputation on eBay, etc), but they don't use PayPal (PP use is not that common amongst German eBayers), use the EU-wide BIC & IBAN method - see more details here: http://www.apacs.org.uk/IBAN/iban/maintext.html

It takes about the same time as a cheque does to clear, but it only costs about ?1/?1 to do (as opposed to about ?10 for methods like Western Union)

I was told by my bank, Allied Irish Bank (AIB) that there is a fixed charge of ?0.75 for sending up to ?10,000 and a charge of ?0.25 for the other person to receive it.

Could be that your bank are charging you for the foreign exchange (Ireland is in the Euro-zone, so this isn't an issue), or it could be that you should change banks

When I lived in the UK, I found the banks very greedy (not that the Irish ones are much better) - I remember being asked for ?3 to exchange an Irish tenner* to sterling! (I declined their offer… )

*these were pre-Euro Irish "punts"(IR?), not NI sterling
