suspension springs, what paint?

hey guys
I need to repaint all my suspension springs, can anyone recommend what paint to use?
id prefer to rub them down and paint myself as apposed to powder coating.
any advise would be much appreciated.

am pretty sure powder coating is most of the price of new springs + it will crack n come off, reckon hammerite may be an option ??

Only thing what will stay there will be hammerite. The rest will come off or will be to expensive. Use hammerite and I think you will not regret it!

I'd go with hammarite, as long as you rub them down properly and make sure there's no grease on them before painting I think it will be a long time before the paint cracks.

I suppose the paint might crack off if you put it on too thickly on a single coat tho.
