Suspension Advice - What are the Best Shocks & Springs?

I am considering replacing the existing shock absorbers and springs to achieve a 20mm+ drop in ride height (I would like this to be adjustable).  If money was not an issue (but it always is!) what would people suggest?

Any help would be great.

This is a very common question, so a search is definitely a good start.

Common setups, ranging from cheap to expensive, are the Boge Sport Kit, some cheap coilies from ebay, Koni TA shocks and Eibach springs (I run this on my GTI and it's great), or some FK coilies.

You can pay anywhere from ?150 upwards, so it's definitely a case of you pays your money and takes your choice.

I paid ?300 for some FK's, it's sitting at it's orignal height, they seem alright.

Little bit stiffer than the standard suspension, but that's what I expected.
