Sticking clutch cable/pedal

hi guys,
looking for a bit of advice on my clutch cable/pedal.

was running fine until this morning then when i went to depress the clutch to put into 1st there was more resistance than usual…..finally it depressed fully and i got in gear.later in the journey i noticed after fully depressing and putting into gear that the pedal would stick just at biting point on the way back up and therfor wouldnt let me take off in 1st.it sticks occasionally through the gears but always releasees itself after a couple of goes.any ideas?

check the hole in the bulkhead where the cable comes through - make sure the cable isn't hacksawing its way through it!  Also check the cable for any fraying which may be getting stuck in the cable outer
