steering rack bracket under car on mk1 golf gti convertible

hi there

does anyone know what the name of the bracket under the car that holds the steering rack in place is called?
it sits next to the joint at the bottom of the steering rack, it comes in 2 pieces one part welds to the floor and the other goes round the drive shafts.
as when i phoned vw i was told there was no pics and i need a replacement one as mine has snapped big time in 2 lol not good
any help in this matter will be much appreciated

has the bracket snapped of the car
ie the one thats attachted to the chassis? if so you need ramps to weld it back on, the clamp i cant remember the name off if you ring these guys
Gwent VW-Audi Centre and tell them you need the U shaped bracket that holds the steering rack onto the car, they should know what your on about did when i went down there for one, good guys aswell know there stuff
