Steering colum/rack boot question

I've located a boot for my car but its listed as a left hand drive, does any body know if there is a difference between the 2.
They look the same in the pictures!!

Methinks they are different…
LHD is listed as 171 419 523 and RHD as 172 419 523 for an '82 ish Golf

later ones LHD 191 ……  and RHD 192…

Could maybe help better if year/Engine code is known.  Note that the angle that the column comes through the floor is most likely opposite from LHD to RHD

I've sourced a 2nd hand one now through a Fellow forum user.

Alright mate,its ME who`s sold u the 2nd hand boot,and the answer is YES,they are different,my everydayer is a LHD and i already know its different,ive also got a rhd GTI and need one for this,but as u know ive got 2x boots,so thats how u ended up with one! Cheers anyway,will get it sent out monday,been a bit chocka the past couple of days!
