small to big block chassis leg mount

Ive been hearing a few roomers that its better to get a big block mount and welding that on as its bigger, rather than just flipping and moving the small block one. Could anyone shed any light on this issue please?

i just used the small block mount flipped and move no probs

the only problem with using the old one is you might mangle it when removing, p[lus you'll need to add some metal as theres a chunk missing out of the bottom. you'll see what i mean

ahh i thought that might be the case, its deffo shorter than the gearbox side unless my tape measure's out
