Shock absorber advice
Hi Folks,
I have a mk1 GLi cabriolet. I'd like to put new shocks on and would like to stop the car rolling when cornering. However the roads where I live can be fairly full of potholes so I don't want rock hard suspension. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced pair of shocks that could do this please ?
Thanks

You might be better off sticking with a pretty standard height suspension and getting some beefed up anti-roll bars. Will keep the softer springs for the crap roads but will cut down on body roll when cornering.

Easy route is to use Boge items from Car Parts & Spares -- Buy Online with Fast UK Delivery | GSF Car Parts at the same time replacing the shockers with Boge gas items . They do a complete kit , just ask .
This lowers the car about 40mm …….and they ride nicely .

if the roads are bad, keep standard suspension and uprate the antiroll bars

Thanks for the advice - looks like I'll go for the rollbars first.
