My cab's been lowered a bit and the rear tyre walls scrub on the arches. I just put up with it, as it only seems to happen when people are in the back or I hit a pot hole or something.

you could possibly see about getting your arches rolled if you have the same problem?

What width are the wheels? And size of tyres too. I reckon that's the main problem. Even when fully compressed, the wheels shouldn't be touching the bodywork, so weak springs or lowered springs, whilst giving you less effective suspension travel before you reach the bump stops, aren't the problem in itself. Coilovers and other methods of lowering often achieve their lowering by having the bump stop lower still (to lot lose so much suspension travel), and coilovers' struts are a different shape/design, meaning that sometimes the spring seat, becomes the issue. Coilovers are narrower but the spring seat might be lower.
