Schmidt wheels???

Hi I am having problems deciding what size wheels to put on my 87 cabby 1.8v gti.

I have decided that they are going to be 14" but how wide ??

Any way my question is how wide and tyre combo with spacers to fit with out any rubbing with coilovers.

Will 8x14 on the front and 9x14 on the rear fit with 10mm spacers.

I need to get it right first time as funds are low..

hey dude, i have 8's on the rear(not sure of the ET) but they are on the wrong side of legal, but depending on the ET you might be able to get wider than that. Shmidts are soo nice too! good choice! good luck, sorry if that was NO help what so ever!

if  i get a high et and stretch the tyre do you think it could be on the right side of legal or should i go for 7.5" just to be safe?

what do you have on the front?

does any one know where i can get a set of 8x14 Schmidts.
