rumble ... rotational (?) HELP !

Just had 3 springs replaced to level up my immaculate F reg GTI cabby. (brand new MOT). … 4th spring was 1 year old. Same garage did all the work.
 Now getting a regular rumble (especially noticable at 20mph or less). In drive or out. Seems rotational, but not quite at frequency of wheel roatation. Can feel it through steering and brake pedal. Had the spring fitting rechecked.. all safe and seems OK.  Suggested tyres are running on new section of tread (?). Maybe a strut part (but not rotational!).  Drive shaft ? but no other noise.
ANY ideas welcome.  Seems too much of a co-incidence that its appearance came with new springs, but maybe I had the radio turned up too much before!

A rumble could suggest a wheel bearing. Is it more pronounced going round a corner, either left or right?

Jack wheel off ground, hold at 9 and 3 and try to wobble. Should get no play. If you do then it is probably a bearing…
