Replacing a steering wheel

Hi

I know its should be simple, but before I take my steering wheel of my 91 cabby, I'd like to check something.

To get to the bolt that holds the wheel in place, I need to firstly remove the plastic steering wheel centre, under which sits the inner metal pad for the horn (attached to the wheel itself rather than the pull off cover).

Do I remove this inner horn pad to get to the bolt, or do I need a special spanner to get into the bolt with the inner horn pad in place?  And does the inner metal horn pad simply pull off?  :dontknow:

Thanks for your help - I thought it safer to ask than pull something off that shouldn't come off!

It pulls off.  It sits in fairly tight so gentley does it!
