Replacement bushes advice

Morning all,

I'm looking to refresh the bushes on my golf. It's a '83 1.8 gti.
I'm after a straight swap and have been told to go for purple powerflex bushes as these are a "direct replacement" for the originals. However they are advertised as 25 to 30% harder.

Will this reflect in the ride of the car?
Can anyone recommend any bushes for a direct replacement?

Yes ride will be harder. If you don't want this and want a more standard feel then go for original replacement. You can try main dealer of VW Heritage should do most rubbers too.

Donr seem to see them advertised lately but i prefer superflex, cheaper than powerflex and they feel more supple, withh ss inserts where fitted.
