removing under rubber for racing purposes???
Could any one enlighten me with regards to the big ruber piece's which sits underneath on the rear shocks..
Are these just for noise reduction? as ive been told to scrap them and get a 2cm drop from it as its only used for noise reduction when you have a road car, as my car is striped right out noise isnt really a worry..
many thanks again

Not sure here as im the only one running the Mk1, but it did get said by a guy who has been in the racing scene for long time.
Was wondering if any one else had done the same?
Might give it a blast for next race, but i think a set of yoko's will make a better diference to the big things i got on now! LOL

I think you would need to replace them with something though or the shock would not sit right in the mount hole (the hole is quite big)?
The race type front top mounts are solid, just with a bearing to allow the struts to turn, so I can't see it causing too much of a problem?
