Rear suspension Main Bushs Trailing Arm

Hi,

The bush on my gti are cracked and persished. I want to replace them, Rubber ones don't seem available.

I found a few sellers on ebay selling poly bushes but I am concerned that they will transmit noise and general harness into the car. Would you notice much of improvement over rubber bushes?

the noise wont be really any more, as its only a pivot point, also the 2 piece poly ones go in easier... and theres a how to guide to help you do it too..

Ok I have ordered the bushes and have a go at fitting them in the end of May

lets hope I dont find rust on the body when I remove the trailing arm !

lots of wd40 etc to soak into the rusty nuts, and then when un doing turn 1/4 turn, then back and then a bit more and back again to stop the crud building up and locking the nut to the bolt.

follow the guide its not that hard

tah very much, ive done the whole front end bar the side engine mounts,just the steering rack mounts proving a bugger, well doing them back up again!any tips? :dontknow:  :mrgreen:

i know what you mean! mine was a pita to do as well!!! lots of swearing and the car right up at the front, thats how I did it, but it took me aagggeeessss!!!
