Rear Brake Shoes for a series 1

Gsf stock brake shoes for a mk1 Golf. I bought a set, they do not fit.
Was I surprised!

Where can I get a set of  , manually adjustable rear brake shoes for a series 1 ?

take a pair into a large ish motor factors - a good one will have a big book with templates for brake shoes and should be able to match them up for you.

Failing that, can you swap the manual adjusters for auto ones?
