Rear brake drum noise??

Getting a rubbing noise from my drivers side rear drum.
Its like a ticking/rubbing noise, kind of like something catching on a high rust spot.
Brake shoes are in good nick.
Its got quite new drums on, which i removed and totally cleaned up the friction face.
Its got new wheel bearings, adjusted correctly!
Spent ages with a dremmel and sanding disc cleaning inside the rear backing plate incase there was a rough spot for the drums to rub onto.
Its not the wrong studs as it still makes the noise when i have the wheel removed.
The drum spins  so its not the brakes binding.

I have had this off about 3 times and its doing my head in what it could be. :dontknow:
No signs of any rubbing marks either  :banghead:

is the handbrake cable fitted under the little plate to stop it rubbing on the bearing boss on the inside of the drum? had this loads of times, the plate holds the cable out the way,its held on by the bolts that hold the stub axel on

Cheers Bert i will have a look today.
I think it should be as this problem has only started in the past couple of months and the cable has not been disturbed in the past year.

Had a look Bert and Handbrake cable is sucured under the tab so that rules that out.
