Rear beam mounts
Hi.
Does anyone know the size of the main bolt (or if any has good ones for sale) that runs through the rear beam mounting and bush (to hold the beam in place)on a cabrio.
They are obsolete at VW and mine need replacing…. Same as many other bits

Projekt Frustration :
White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!
Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.

Hi Chris.
Did you manage to find out any info regarding the above. I have recently replaced my fuel tank and found there to be no nuts on the bush bolts :O shock horror! I wondered why there was a knock on the back!
Any info that you where able to gather or where to sorce these parts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Neil

Not managed to find the bolts as yet, I can't even undo my mounts, to the beam is going to go back as it is!
I have managed to source some nuts and washes from VW stealership in wakefield.

Neil.
From what I can find out the bolt is a m12 x 1.5 with a 148mm length.

The link is for a site with the VAG parts on.

Cheers Dudes. When i rang volkswagen they told me they were obsolete. How long ago did you buy them? O and are they a standard set bolt or set screw with thread all the way down? I wud assume bolt bt u never know? Are the a special diameter or just a normal bolt?
Thanks
