Rear anti roll bushes

Hi,

After putting my '83 mk1 gti up on the ramps the other day I noticed that one of the outer anti roll bar bushes and the clip were knackered.  After getting the part from VW (171511437) I found that the hole in the middle of the bush was far too small to but the anti roll bar through.  Does anyone know if there is another bush that should be fitted?  Or is it just a very tight fit?

the anti roll bar has a thin section where the bush locates (it'll more or less be the same as the hole in your new bush) so you've just gotta beast it past the fat section at the end!! a little fairy liquid will help you along your way!! best of luck!!

awesome advice

or wack it in some boilin water,, will rubber it up a bit, and will go hard once its cooled

warning water and fairy liquid might = a load of bubbles
